Helpful Tips

  1. Get your ingredients and measure everything out ahead of time!
  2. Cut up your snickers into bite size pieces (reserve some for the topping at the end)
  3. When they come out of the oven, you can add extra chocolate chips or snickers pieces to the top of the cookies.
  4. Use room temperature ingredients — butter and egg should be left out for at least an hour!
  5. Don’t forget to smack the pan down on the counter to flatten the cookies when they come out of the oven. They may be puffy when you take them out but by doing the pan smacking counter trick, they’ll come out nice and crinkly! YUM!

Snickers Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 heaping cup Snickers, cut into pieces (I recommend getting at least 2 full length snickers bars)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt and set aside.
  1. To the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the Snickers, chocolate chips, and mix to combine.
  4. Refrigerate dough for at least an hour. When ready to bake, remove from fridge and let come to room temp for 10 minutes.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheets and bake in a 350F oven for 10 minutes.
